Music Workshops and Demonstrations

We have a host of professional Asian and World Music instrumentalists. We can offer workshops in classical North and South Indian Percussion and melodic instruments including Indian Folk Percussion plus Bhangra where we teach basic techniques & rhythms.

Once the basic skills of Asian Percussion have been taught, we can offer additional workshops in music technology, sampling, live improvisation, keyboards and music programming that can be fused with the Asian Percussion to produce original and innovative compositions to be recorded or performed live.

This work is particularly appropriate for young musicians or young people with some music skills and is very popular. Furthermore, we can also feed in Latin or African Percussion skills alongside Asian Percussion to explore World Rhythms as part of a curriculum project for Music or Geography in schools.

Live Performances

I perform frequently and can be often seen playing drums and percussions with the bhangra band Alaap at various Festivals and Concerts throughout the UK and the World. More recently I have appeared at shows in Ottawa, Dubai, Washington, and Miami.
